25 Days of Christmas Movies - Day 21 - Mickey's Christmas Carol
It’s Day 21 of 25 Days of Christmas Movies, and we are SO CLOSE to
the BIG DAY. Is it cheating to pick another adaptation of A Christmas Carol?
Well, I don’t care because I love Mickey’s Christmas Carol (1983)!
Disney took basically every character it ever created and put them together in this really great rendition of Charles Dickens' classic story. Mickey Mouse is Bob Cratchit, Goofy is Jacob Marley, Jiminy Cricket becomes the Ghost of Christmas Past while the Giant (Jack and the Beanstalk) is the Ghost of Christmas Present. Daisy Duck stands in for Ebenezer’s young love, Belle and Donald Duck is Nephew Fred.
So cute and they tell the story in about 30 minutes. What’s not to love about that?
