25 Days of Christmas Movies - Day 1 - It's a Wonderful Life

I'm starting a fun, new blog series for December…25 Days of Christmas Movies…talking about my favorite holiday movies.

Day 1: Figured I should start with the Granddaddy of all Christmas movies…It’s a Wonderful Life. Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed, an angel named Clarence and the age-old question. “What would have happened if you’d never been born?” According to lore, the movie was a bust at movie theaters when it was originally released. It was only after airing on TV that it became a classic. The end of this movie full of choked up moments, all the neighbors arriving with money, the brother showing up, the note from Clarence that "no man is poor who has friends". To George Bailey, the richest man in town.

I remember when you could see this flick a dozen times (in B&W and color). Then NBC bought the rights and decided it should only air once.  Talk about being a Scrooge!

Everybody say it with me. “Every time a bell rings…”
